Komplizen Film is one of Germany's leading film production companies for contemporary arthouse films and series. With Oscar, Palme d'Or and Lion awards and productions with a presence at renowned festivals worldwide, the international audience is growing steadily.
In order to do justice to their increasing success and growing network in the industry, Komplizen wanted a new website for their film archive. We started a branding process with the creative gang, with the aim of developing a minimalist digital brand identity and fully showcasing and developing it in the form of the new website.

Challenge
The website of a film production company works differently than a website for other companies. The company's productions should speak for themselves. The accomplices want to be understood through their works rather than through themselves. Film stills should form the introduction and show the multifaceted emotional worlds behind the films and series. The most striking stylistic element of the previous website, the different monochrome backgrounds, should be incorporated.
The biggest challenge was to maintain the strong brand image and to find a clear presentation for film and series production that stands out from streaming services. In addition, the system for the constant maintenance of the archive should be simple and quick to use, which is easier than ever thanks to Kirby CMS. The result is now at least as worth seeing as the productions of the accomplices.
