Challenge

Researchers often face the problem of not being able to explain in simple terms what they are actually working on. Our friend Jaap from the University of Utrecht also approached us with this challenge.

Storyboard & Konzept

The first and most important step: we break down the complex, scientific content to create a good story.

A detailed storyboard saves us time and correction rounds and gives us a good feel for what will come out of the final animation.

Animatic

Especially with a somewhat longer animated film with different themes, it's great to set the roughly sketched sequences in motion in an animatic. Is the narrative in moving image working? Is the timing right? Yes, it does!

Design & Styleframes

We develop a unique design or even illustration language for each animation. The style should fit in with the University of Utrecht, should be suitable for animation and look modern.

Sound

Sound is an important part of the audiovisual experience of good animation. That's why we work with our long-standing partner OddOne to generate the right sounds for every movie. Whether professional speakers or music and sound elements - an animation only really comes together with sound.

Final Composition & Edit

Last but not least, we “smooth” the animation. We add the sound, fine-tune all the screens and put the finishing touches to it. And then our customers receive their animation in the desired formats - tatatataaa!
